A Night at Marston Park

A Night at Marston Park

Whilst searching the internet for summer staycation ideas, I came across Marston Park, a luxury campsite located between Frome and Bruton. It’s furnished bell tents sit proudly on the edge of a Victorian lake and are surrounded by ancient woodland - an idyllic setting for a girls’ trip away…

The park’s ethos sounds a lot like Birch’s: “Marston Park is a playground for creativity with grown up food [and] drink”. And I guess the vibe isn’t too dissimilar. There is a cultural programme with performances, exhibitions, workshops and masterclasses, a wild pool and wood fired hot tub, eccentric swan pedalos, a food truck, craft ales, local cider, wine and cocktails - what more could you want!

We arrived, stopped by our tent and headed out to explore Frome.

When back, we squeezed in time to walk the perimeter of the park, before heading for a fireside dinner (and a few gin and tonics).

Marston Park is certainly somewhere to add to your hit list, especially as we start to holiday more within the UK. For a party vibe, try to visit during their Pikes weekenders, when the team bring Ibiza to Somerset! Be sure to stop by The Rye Bakery and The River House for some delicious food too.
